Not even a thunderstorm could stop the 2013 AIDS Walk Houston. As thousands gathered on the steps of City Hall, a strong sense of unity spread throughout crowd to successfully complete a mission AIDS Foundation Houston began several years ago. Marathon Oil and all supporting sponsors were on hand to assist with this epic event. As one of the official media sponsors, “The Session TV Show” covered the entire event and captured some special interviews with CEO of AIDS Foundation Houston, Kelly Young, 97.9 The Box Madd Hatta Morning Show crew and key representatives from each event sponsor. The Session TV Show added another A-List interview to it’s list. Having just interviewed R&B sensation “Chrisette Michele” on World Aids Day. The Session TV Show was very proud to be interviewing David and Tamela Mann of Tyler Perry’s “Meet The Brown’s at the Kingdom Builders Center 6011 W. Orem Houston TX. What was thought to be a regular interview, turned into a full blown press conference, with The Session TV Show Host “Dy’v l Davis” front and center.

With poise, “Dy’v l Davis” delivered like a veteran, opening the interview by welcoming the Mann’s to Houston, giving a little humor and then asking the questions the reporters were waiting for. Once the press conference was over, David and Tamela Mann both delivered a epic performances to a packed house. David and Tamela Mann’s stopped in Houston to continue their Family Reunion Concert Tour. David “Mr. Brown” Mann brought his comedic genius to the stage, while Tamela “Cora Brown” Mann performed songs from her third album “Best Days”. Tamela Mann’s latest album “Best Day’s has debuted #1 on the billboard gospel charts and #14 on billboard top 200.

On Saturday March 2, 2013, the highly anticipated event called DIVA DAY was held at SW Houston’s most prominent salon and barber shop, Salon Alx. The ultimate goal was to create brand awareness, while uniting and keeping the hair and fashion industry abreast of the latest marketing tools, social media awareness and multicultural hair and fashion specialties. There were several boutique owners that participated as vendors and all were spotlighted on Houston’s hottest TV show “The Session”. The owner of Salon Alx, Earker Coleman was very please about the turnout of the event. The Session TV show host “Dyvie” look gorgeous as she interviewed all the vendors and handled all announcements throughout the event. During the event, there were several raffle winners that took home gift certificates, and stuffed Mizani gift bags. The participating vendors were; To the T! Boutique, Always Into Something, Bougie Bagz, Pink Dagger, Remix Fashion and Sol Tre Creation. Beauty Consultant, Latrice Cradle gave facials throughout the event. The vision for the event was to create an environment that highlights the exceptional service, professionalism and creativity of stylists, barbers, make-up artists, fashion designers, boutique owners and wellness professionals.
